Test Aerógrafo Infinity / Chipping medium Vallejo

Acabo de recibir un nuevo y flamante Infinity y la verdad es que es "infinítamente" mejor que el Paasche V que estaba usando hasta ahora. En cierta medida es lógico. Como producto relativamente nuevo en el mercado esta mucho más estudiado y avanzado que los anteriores. Yo desde luego lo encuentro a años luz de los Paasche o Holbein que usaba hasta ahora.

Estoy probando el nuevo "desconchador" acrílico de Vallejo y los resultados son los que os muestro, a mi parecer satisfactorios. A continuación he trabajado con productos AK Interactive con los que daré el acabado final a las piezas más adelante. De momento me he parado en los lavados.

I have just received a new and flaming Infinity and the truth is that it is better than the Paasche V that it was using till now. It's logical. As relatively new product on the market this one much more studied and advanced than the previous ones. I certainly find it to "light years" of the Paasche or Holbein that I was using till now.

I'm testing Vallejo's new acrylic chipping fluid and the results are those that I show you, a good results for me. Later I have worked with products AK Interactivate for the final touchs. At the moment I have stopped in the washes.

Jackal - Operacion Herrick (Afganistan)

Mi primera incursión a escala 1:48 va a ser con este engendro de ruedas que aparece como parte del contingente británico en Afganistán (2001) al amparo de la Operación Herrick, precioso vehículo aunque su montaje sea un poco complicado, eso lo sabe bien mi colega de la AMT Carlos Arteaga que es quien lo ha montado, yo intentaré darle algo de color.

My first attempt to 48 scale is going to be with this brainchild that is a part of the British contingent in Afganistan (2001) under the operation Herrick. It's a nice four wheel drive vehicle even though his assembly has been a little complicated. My friend Carlos will assemble it and I´ll try to paint it.

Merkava Mk.I

Uno de los principales actores en la Operación Paz para Galilea durante la primera guerra del Líbano en el 82 es este fabuloso carro de combate desarrollado y construido hasta el último detalle para preservar a su tripulación.

El color empleado por el IDF es el santo grial para los modelistas por lo que he considerado como mejor opción usar la referencia UA035 de Lifecolor para la base con un resultado muy satisfactorio. El resto de detalles están pintados con acrílicos Vallejo a pincel.

Quiero agradecer a dos buenos amigos mallorquines (gracias Dani y José Manuel) la ayuda que me han brindado para poner esto en marcha.

One of the most important subjects in the operation Peace for Galilea during the first Lebanon war in the 82's is this fabulous MBT developed since the last detail to preserve his crew.

The color used in the IDF is the "Grail" for modellers, so I have considered that the best option is the reference UA035 of Lifecolor for the base with good results. For the rest of details I have used Vallejo acrilic paints.

I want to be grateful to two good Majorcan friends (thank you Dani and Jose Manuel) for the help that they have offered to me to start this.

The "MakPaint" vol.I

Tras la pintura de la base con acrílicos Tamiya y de los detalles con acrílicos Vallejo he colocado las calcas del cockpit. El siguiente paso seran algunos lavados y efectos con productos de AK interactive y mientras tanto empezar con la figura.

Now I have just painted the copkit with Tamiya and Vallejo acrilics, after I have placed the decals of the cockpit. In the next step I'll use some washes and streaking effects of AK interactive and meanwhile I'll start with the figure.

A new MaK-adventure...

A mis queridos amigos José Vicente y Paco de la AMT les ha dado por montar un Falke 1:20 de Hasegawa, y como uno es algo fácil además de apasionado de la ciencia ficción me he unido a este pequeño grupo de lunáticos que vamos a acabar la nave con tres esquemas de pintura diferentes. Espero disponer en breve de algunas imágenes del resto de la escuadrilla para que veáis que la cosa es seria. Espero que os guste!

My dear friends Jose Vicente and Paco from AMT are mounting a Falke 1:20 of Hasegawa, and I like so much the science fiction, I have joined to this small group of lunatics that we are going to end the ship with three different schemes from painting. In a few days I have some images of the rest of the squadron in order that you see that the thing is serious. I hope that you like!

Un ligero "re-styling"...

A los que nos gusta añadir figuras a nuestros vehículos a veces nos surgen ligeros contratiempos cuando sus poses no son del todo adecuadas o no se adaptan como quisiéramos a sus ubicaciones definitivas. Yo antes recurría a mi caja de "brazos, manos y piernas" pero esto no siempre da el resultado buscado. Tras darle vueltas e intentar retrasar lo inevitable, al final lo ideal es la cirugía y la masilla.

Ya os digo que la cirugía "menor" no es difícil, sobre todo cuando se tienen buenos amigos, como es mi caso (gracias Pere!).

La base de estas figuras son los británicos que se incluían en el kit del Bantam, es decir, sus piernas. A estas les eliminé la ropa dejándolas al desnudo, y les añadí unos torsos y unos brazos alemanes. Sobre ellas,  con masilla,  modelé los pantalones, el faldón y los bolsillos de la chaqueta.

Espero que el resultado os anime a probar.

I like to add figures to my vehicles but sometimes appear slight mishap when their poses are not entirely adequate or not adapts it to their final locations. Before, I resorted to my box of "arms, hands and legs," but this does not always give the desired result. After brooding and trying to delay the inevitable, at last, best is surgery and milliput.

Now I say that the "minor" surgery is not difficult, especially when you have good friends, like me (thanks Pere!).

The basis of these figures are the British who were included in the kit Bantam, ie your legs. I removed the clothes leaving them bare, and I added some German bodys and arms. On them with milliput, modeled pants, skirt and jacket pockets.

British Sessions Vol.1

Aprovechando el grupo de construcción que empezó hace poco en Panzernet y que un colega me cedió esta maqueta con todas sus mejoras, mi buen amigo Iván (al frente del montaje y los fotograbados) y un servidor nos hemos liado la manta al cuello y hemos empezado con este proyecto. Esperemos llevarlo a buen puerto!

This piece is destined for the group of construction that it began in Pzn does a couple of months. My friend Iván is mounting all the aftermarkets (FG, Friul chains, Metal gun,...) and I'm helping him in the assembly of plastic parts. We wait to enjoy it!
